Joy Drive 2019

joy jars

In January of 2012, 12 year old Jesse Rees ended her battle with brain cancer. But her battle was not in vain. During her 10 month courageous fight, she focused on spreading hope, joy, and love to other kids fighting cancer. The Jesse Rees Foundation continues to spread this hope, joy, and love through Joy Jars. Joy Jars are 6” tall with a 4” opening and are filled with playing cards, mini legos, sports cards, rubber balls, markers, mini puzzles, socks, etc….

Joy Jars have been sent to all 50 states, over 15 countries, and over 202 Children’s hospitals.

Lakeside’s National Jr. Honor Society is inviting you to join in the spirit of spreading hope, love, and joy. Please consider donating toys to the foundation. We will hold a week-long collection from January 28-February 1. Please see the flier for appropriate donations. And remember, all toys must be new and unopened.
