We are excited to welcome you to the 2025-26 school year.

Here is your checklist to prepare you and your student for a successful year.

 1.   Data Confirmation (opens tomorrow August 4th)

All families must complete the Data Confirmation Process for their student.  Go to www.myiusd.org to log in to your account and complete the process.  You can find detailed directions explaining how to complete the process here. 

 2.   Lakeside Registration 

Lakeside Registration for Students and Parents will be Wednesday, August 13*

8th Grade Registration – August 13**

8:00 – 9:00     Last Name  A - H12:30 – 1:30     Last Name   A - G
9:00 – 10:00   Last Name  I – N 1:30 – 2:30     Last Name  H – N
10:00 – 11:00 Last Name  P – Z 2:30 – 3:30     Last Name  O – Z 

* Make-up Registration Day will be Thursday, August 14 from 9am – Noon

** If you are unable to make the exact session time, please come as close to your time as possible.

Students will meet teachers, make friends, and get a tour of the school.  Parents will have the opportunity to purchase yearbooks, dance passes and get everything to be prepared for the year.  Please review potential purchases and be prepared with cash, check(s) and/or credit card. 

 3.   Get Involved

Here are some great ways to get involved at the start of the school year

A.    Join PTA: Become a member of PTA and support our Mariner Community

B.     Support the Lakeside PTA by purchasing Mariner shirts and spirit wear.

C. Check out the new Lakeside PTA website to stay updated on events

 4.   Mark Your Calendar for Important Upcoming Dates
  • August 13 – 8th Grade Registration & Orientation 8:00-11:00 am and 7th Grade Registration & Orientation 12:30-3:30 pm                             
  • August 14 – e-Bike Safety Class – 6 pm at University High School
  • August 19 – First Day of School for 7th Grade (8:30am – 12:30) & New 8th grade students (8:30am – 10:30am)
  • August 20  – First Day of School for All Students (9:20 am - 3:05 pm)
  • August 21  – e-Bike Safety Class – 6 pm at Portola High School
  • August 22 - SPIRIT DRESS DAY: Endless Summer (wear your Hawaiian shirts!)
  • August 28  – e-Bike Safety Class – 6 pm at Woodbridge High School
  • August 29 - School Picture Day
  • September 1 - Labor Day Holiday - NO SCHOOL
  • September 2  – Lakeside PTA Meeting 6:30 pm
  • September 2  – e-Bike Safety Class – 6 pm at Irvine High School
  • September 4 – Back to School Night 6:00 pm – 7:45 pm (Minimum Day Schedule)
  • September 9  – e-Bike Safety Class – 6 pm at Northwood High School
