OCDE Vaping Prevention Parent Workshop
There is growing concern about youth vaping, especially on school campuses. Newer, pod-based e-cigarettes are easy to conceal and contain high levels of nicotine, which can disrupt adolescent brain development. Parents will learn: • What the new types of e-cigarettes look like • What research says about the risks of youth vaping • How vaping devices are used with marijuana • How to talk to your child about vaping • What prevention resources are available for parents
